Your Right to Deletion
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data (also known as the "right to be forgotten").
What Gets Deleted?
When you request deletion, we will remove:
- Your account information (name, email, phone, etc.)
- Business listing (if you're a supplier)
- Job postings you've created
- Any stored preferences or settings
- Marketing consent records
What We May Keep
We may retain certain data if required by law, including:
- Financial records (for tax and accounting purposes - 6 years)
- Fraud prevention records
- Data required for legal disputes or regulatory compliance
This data will be anonymized where possible and deleted after the legal retention period.
How to Request Deletion
To request deletion of your data, please email us at:
Email: support@salonhub.co.uk
Subject: Data Deletion Request - [Your Email]
Please include in your email:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Type of account (Salon, Supplier, or Admin)
- Reason for deletion (optional)
Processing Time
We will respond to your request within 30 days as required by UK GDPR. In most cases, deletion is completed within 7 days.
Before You Delete
⚠️ Important
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- You will lose access to the supplier directory, guides, and jobs
- Suppliers will lose their directory listing and any remaining subscription time
- All posted job listings will be removed
- We cannot recover your data after deletion
Alternatives to Deletion
If you're not ready to delete your account, you can:
- Update your information: Edit your account details to keep them current
- Opt out of marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional emails
- Pause your subscription: Suppliers can cancel their monthly subscription
- Request a data export: Download all your data without deletion
